unfortunately there isn't really a full proof way to stop it from being stolen, ours has been nicked before, We now leave the energizer on during the day and take it home of a night and hope the horses think its on. :(

i would take it down a notch, maybe even practice at home some balance moves? have a private lesson and discuss with your instructor the problems your having, take your time i'm sure it will come back to you :)
have a read up on Eqyss Mega tek, i use it on my ponys mane, for me it works a treat, might be worth having a look? hope it does someday make a reappearance !!!
im not sure about the patch, maybe a scar? but i use megatec on my horses mane for growth, its an amazing product to get the hair growing, just read that its getting bigger, is it possible for it to be a skin reaction to what you wash your rugs in?
