    Never give up! See if the injections work, if not you could always keep/sell him as a companion for another horse.

    Chaff. Is it really needed ?

    You really don’t need to feed chaff separately at all as long as your horse gets plenty of forage. I just use it to mix in with their hard feed just to get them to chew it probably as if the just gulp it down it can lead to colic.

    I’d recommend the website equine essentials direct, they sell loads very cheaply but great quality! Also have a look on eBay as there are always plenty of good deals on there

    Soaking Hay for Horse with Respiratory Issues

    Yeah I’d recommend haylage but if you just soak your hay for an hour in a bucket of water it should get rid of the dust. Be careful though not to soak it for too long otherwise you will be soaking away it’s nutrientional value as well!
