Is it the pair of front straps across the front of the boots that you're after? If so I have (inexplicably, no idea why I don't have them in pairs!) 5 unused ones including screws going spare that I'd happily post out to you for free. I haven't used Scoots since I retired the mare I used them on...
I have a 'Lisa'! Nice name for a person, bizarre choice for a pony, but I kept the name. My first pony was Anna.
There's a Clint at the yard my sister's at which makes me laugh! I also know a horse called Garry, which also makes me smile.
I don't see why not - I used to do a lot of athletics and really enjoyed sprinting over hurdles! It was just... fun, and an adrenaline rush I suppose. Perhaps some horses feel the same!
Mine's the sort who if you put a novice or a child on her she'll look after them and plod along, but if she knows you can handle it she'll be a spooky idiot! She has two preferred paces, walk or gallop, and if you ask her to trot on grass she'll bounce up and down or sideways in canter.

Ooh, will PM you leflynn! We may see you when we're hacking out and about, I know some of the the rides as I was in Wylam for years and occasionally would hack up, but still plenty of bridleways and roads to explore :D We're moving as of Sunday - exciting!
Thanks LC2013 - we've managed to find a nice small yard in Heddon which we're moving to at the weekend, though only on grass livery at the moment - they're apparently planning to build more stables so we're going to see how we like it and potentially wait for stables  Will PM you though...
Thanks for the suggestions guys! I do have a Facebook page but very rarely use Facebook - so didn't have a clue how to go about finding relevant horsey pages. I'll give those a go. And I'd forgotten there was a NE Riders forum :)
Hi all, is anyone aware of any yards with a few spaces going within a 15-20 minute drive of Prudhoe? Due to problems at our current yard (not caused by us, I hasten to add!) a friend and I are needing to move at some point in the next few weeks but the problem is we've got five horses between us...
Could the horse maybe have caught the fastenings on something and pulled the front open, and someone (another livery, passing walker) fastened it back up? I went to catch mine the other day and one of the other livery ponies had somehow managed to undo the front of her rug, goodness knows how...
Once you've found some local bridleways using an OS map, it's really useful to check out the road parts on Google Maps using the Street View function - you can explore a bit that way and if there a bits of road you're unfamiliar with you can see how busy they're likely to be etc. and look out...
It's slipping that could potentially be an issue - for the simple reason that barefoot hooves can't take studs! (As a general rule, I've found that my own barefoot horses slip far less than a shod but un-studded horse on slippery or muddy going). It seems to vary quite a lot from horse to horse...
In Newcastle a few minutes ago we had wind, rain, snow and bright sunshine at the same time! All the weather at once. The wind has died down a lot since this morning, but goodness knows where my recycling bin will be when I get home...
Lisa lives out unrugged during the day but comes in at...
Unfortunately, though, horse passports are NOT legally considered proof of ownership. There is no specific document that is considered proof of ownership in the UK so proving who ultimately has the right to a horse can be quite tricky and has to be based on the best available evidence.
