No, YO seemed adamant it was airborne mites. She was even going to call neighbouring paddocks to let them know. Apparently the vet says there's a lot of them going around right now, so to get some mite powder. This was told to us by a novice horse owner tho. I'm thinking now, maybe the vet...

I take it weigh tapes are pretty unreliable then? I used one on our new pony the other week, as i needed to worm her and she came up at 265kg, shes 13.2 Irish X. I thought that was quite light, but i gave her the dose at that weight. Im wondering if it was quite far out. Shes not skinny at all.
