i don't think that buying a youngster for a first horse is a bad thing if your daughter gets on with it and you have the support of a good trainer

sometimes i don't wear a hat but most of the time i do because even on a completly bombproof horse they could stumble or something!!
and someone i know was warming up at5 a show on a stallion and he never usually stops but he didi this time and his rider wasn't expecting it he fell off and hit...
i use my steven whittaker close contact jumping saddle (the ones ellen uses) on everything it fits aboslutely every horse i have ever out it on no joke
they are quite expensive but worth the money if you ever have any spare cash

yeah deffinately tell the truth don't make the horse sound bad or go on about the bad bits but mention them because it wastes you the buyer and the horses time if you lie and even if they buy the horse it will only end up getting passed around
