I have two daughters, one 7 and one is 3.
My 7 year old has been having lessons since about March time now and shes getting ready to learn canter at the riding school. My 3 year old just loves sitting on the pony when her sister can't make it to a lesson for some reason and going on mini hacks...
I started learning to ride again in March after a 14-15 year break and its been an eye opener to have proper lessons rather than just jumping up and riding. I hope you feel better about riding soon x
Im 5ft 9 and ride a 14.3hh medium weight cob at the riding school and dont feel ridiculous nor have i been told i look ridiculous. I'll be riding my friends 14.2hh heavy weight cob as well at some point.
I wouldn't, however, jump on a 12 or 13hh pony as then yes, i would feel and look ridiculous.
Then you get people like me who would love a horse of their own but can't afford one and have no where to keep one so refuse to get one and continue riding riding school horses.
Starting to think i'm rare after going on some horsey facebook pages.
I've not fallen off yet but i don't count as only been riding since March.
DD1 hasn't fallen off yet but im placing my bets on her falling off during canter.
