I've had a simalar problem with one of my stallions that have now resolved. I was kinda trying every thing at the time to stop him hurting himself and i came up with this idea that worked. At the gate i put up an eletric fence in a small arc so that he could not gallop two strides an let him off...
It depends on the horse mostly. you can do only very light work like hacking out. but i would stop around five months before she is due to be on the safe side.
I have used one before on my springer spanial, but never again will i try it again because it worked perfectly. my dog did what yours does. so i tried the coller because i was out of options. It worked perfectly, she would come back when she was called and every thing after only 4 days of useing...
my preveous foal died of neonatal isoerythrolysis about a year ago unfortunately. However the foal was fantastic quality, so i want to breed the same two horses again to try and produce the same quality foal as the last. My question is, how likely is it that the next foal will get neonatal...

He's real and definitely not the perfect horse. He does wind suck when hes in his stable, so i turn him out as much as possible. he cannot wind suck in the field because of the electric fencing.
He wasn't regesterd so i thought he might be a cross with a thoroughbred or a simaler breed at first because he was so big. So i tried to trace his parantage. After a few months i found that his sires sire was Andalusian x Trakehner.
