    Wintec saddle advice

Just to make clear, as i probably didn't make it clear initially, I haven't used the saddle on him, and I do not intend to until I get a experienced saddler out

    Wintec saddle advice

It may sound a little silly but here goes... I own a wintec GP saddle currently with no gullet in it, but after getting another horse, it needs to be a little wider(he's a wide, flat backed cob)- I do own the extra wide white gullet, would the gullet make it any wider considering it hasn't got...

    Leading a nervous mare

Thankyou for answering ☺️ it's not so much a problem of catching her, I've mastered that, she too did have problem with buckles and headcollars but we've overcome that, it's just the problem of leading😋

    Leading a nervous mare

No you're answer was great! Thankyou☺️ I was thinking of using a longer rope, and as you say not pressuring her, and I was potentially thinking of a food reward if she takes a step towards me, and take it nice and slow☺️ Thankyou

    Leading a nervous mare

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone is able to guide me in some direction. We have had a young mare for around a year now, and she came to us incredibly nervous to the point she was unable to even be touched without freaking. A year on and I have managed to get a head collar on her, brush her and she's...

    Driving pony/training to drive!

Thankyou for all the advice! I think I will give it a go, take her to a professional and survey the situation and see how she takes to it. I already have a few cobs who drive, but I usually take the passive role and enjoy the drive, and allow my dad to drive rather than me, but always fancied it...

    Driving pony/training to drive!

She's incredibly sensible, and is brill in traffic, just seems a shame leaving her to no work when the dry weather comes(emphasis on the when!!), and I have considered a professional and already have one in mind, but thank you anyway, I'll definitely check out some of his videos. ☺️

    Driving pony/training to drive!

So, I'm not entirely sure of my ponies age, but her previous owner said she was around 7 then so she should be around 11-12 years now. She is in good health, but I've unfortunately outgrown her, she's 13.2 and a welsh B- I'm just wondering if it could be a possibility to train her to drive? Is...

    Work experience advice!

Thankyou:) my school have provided us with a list of small vet practices, so I will hopefully gain experience there:) I gathered it would be health and safety/insurance issues, which is perfectly understandable. Thank you for your help, it has been beneficial:)

    Work experience advice!

Yeah I think it is health and safety and insurance purposes, I may be incorrect, but I think they have to take out a different insurance to cover younger people. I think I may have to go to a small practice too and thankyou:)x
