Do you own two different breeds of dog?

Just an IWS at the moment but would like another smaller breed but not a terrier. Thinking of another spaniel but OH only fancies a springer but they seem a bit mad. But it will have to wait until after we have had M-in-law recuperating here with us after her op.

    AAD BBQ Photos

No my cryptic writing - it was my arrival back home, I had only been back an hour when my latest B&B guests arrived so it was very lucky I had done all the hoovering yesterday. I think you were remarkably organised for such an evasion! Murphy is still asleep -just woke long enough for tea...

BTW we both had a great time. Murphy is still asleep but no chance for me.

Many thanks MM for hosting BBQ. Just as well we left when we did- Don't guests ever read arrival times! Great photos Annette4 -especially like the one of Murphy mid bounce.

    AAD BBQ

Catching up after away at retirement do and then wall to wall guests. So to recap I am bringing veggie burgers and cheesecake and lots of booze - anything else needed? Anyone need a folding chair brought? Not so concerned about Murphy's behaviour (though I may be being a bit complaisant there)...

Pimms sounds good even warm -could bring some too? or maybe wine (I'm very indecisive) I'm a veggie (sorry!) so will be bringing some veggie burgers and thought perhaps cheesecake or something for afters?

    A cut pad

Many thanks for all the advice. We felt a bit panicked as Murphy is our first dog and it was his first injury. We did bandage after cleaning it and putting savlon on and surprisingly he didn't try to chew it off. Today it is looking much better and he is no longer limping.

    A cut pad

Thanks for that Blazingsaddles. I have no Hibiscrub but Davisn is dropping some off for me. I think I might bandage it as it has opened up a bit.

    A cut pad

Murphy cut his pad on the beach yesterday. He can walk on it okay and it seems clean but is there anything I can put on it other than salt water to help prevent infection?

    Dog-friendly camping/B&B, Brecon Beacons

Hi blackcob, I think any of the other Snowdonia mountains are pretty quiet apart from maybe Tryfan, but I don't think that is very dog friendly as the top is just a mass of big boulders. I have to say we have only taken Murphy up Mynydd Mawr up till now, we are building him up to bigger walks...

How do you stop a dog leaping 2feet off the ground at you?

    Just trying posting photos again!

How do you stop a dog leaping 2feet off the ground at you?

He only jumps off the ground when outside, inside he will jump up but that does not involve him head butting a nose or mouth thankfully. Luckily he only leaps at people he knows well, in particular Davisn. I haven't noticed any particular trigger for him suddenly launching himself at you. But he...

How do you stop a dog leaping 2feet off the ground at you?

Murphy is our 11 month old Irish Water Spaniel -I was going to post a photo but can't manage to do it, though he doesn't look too much like an IWS now having just had a rather severe trim. We live in Snowdonia overlooking the sea, surrounded by sheep and lambs at the moment (not mine). Murphy...
