Thank you to those who have posted for your assistance - all useful contacts to have. Having spoke to the people that wrote the retraining book, we now think the issues are because we do not have the mare in a bit she is happiest so going to experiment and see how we get on. Thanks again.

I'm sure we will probably give RoR a go in due course. You know what it's like, once bitten twice shy! With the benefit of hindsight we wish we'd have sent the mare to where we send the racehorses for rehab before moving down here then she could have joined us later. Thanks for your help.

Thank you Wimbles; we have not heard of the South-West ex-racers. Are they an organisation akin to RoR? Lanky Loll - no we have not as having had dealings with another region before we moved down here, it has put us off. As a racehorse owner we know of RoR through NTF etc.
