I had a pony that was allergic to the fertilisers in the soil and which was applied to carrots. He came up in hives all of last winter, which meant he sweated and felt worse and it came up over night and took a couple of weeks to get out of his system
Our hunt horses and now my current hunter come back into work in early July.
They all tend to get around 3 months off at the end of the season, just turned out in the field to relax.
They all get 4 weeks walk work building up from 20 mins to around 2 hours by the end of the four weeks...
