re old thread about young horses (5yo's) competing at Intermediate level....

If i understand FEI rules correctly, a five year old can only compete in a CIC 1* , they have to be 6 to do a CCI.

Being ripped off at shows?....(SERIOUS MESSAGE)

I dont think comeditors have a clue how much decent first aid costs show organisers nowdays, really annoys me when we attend shows and pay for cover which is sub standard, in this day and age of health and safety which has now gone mad , it is imperative to have properly qualified medical staff...

I clearly have too much time on my hands. It seems like someone is telling porkies...

BE need to improve the stats in some cases and have a technical elimination, one of ours missed a xc fence and is the only blot on a completly unblemished record and another got to xc start to late and couldnt run, another E on an perfect record, but nobody believes us !!

    Top Grassroots BE Event 2010

Another vote for Firle This has to be the Badminton of the south east, fantastic atmosphere and attracts thousands of spectators on the sunday which gives the event a real buzz. A great event for young horses who need to see a little bit more as part of there education. The organiser and her...

    Competitions running in bad weather

I dont think greed comes into the equation, many centre owners will try to run shows or go bust, simple as that. I have had to cancel all shows at my centre for the past 3 weeks on health and safty grounds due to the snow on car parks, warm up etc.We are now enduring serious cash flow problems,just...

Dobby, I think you are on the wrong forum to discuss this,if I were you I would stick your head up your a**e where the sun dont shine. Try going to a website about phedofiles or terorrists ,I am sure you would find out more there.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tickeridge - Foundation points table leader

Riders abve a certain level can only do open BE90 already, that is why there are so many HC entries in BE90 when there are no open sections at these events.

Tickeridge - Foundation points table leader

I agree the horse did run 18 times which is fortnightly and it didnt take a lot out of him,he is so unstressed at a competition and would probably do more at home on competition days and where ever he ran the ground was good.He would not of learnt much standing at home ! If you think about it 10...

Tickeridge - Foundation points table leader

No offence was meant, congratulations to your friend on a good season. We must all remember that the BE90/BE100 is not just the domain of the amateur rider/combination,it is dual purpose and when they were intoduced to the sport the classes were aimed at giving young horses a happy start to the...

Tickeridge - Foundation points table leader

Running the horse had nothing whatsoever with foundation points,he needed and benifited from runs at that level, its not all about winning, but producing top class youngsters that will go on in the future,it was never in our plans or thoughts to win the Foundation points table and didnt relise we...

Tickeridge - Foundation points table leader

I forgot to add that his elimination at Moreton Morrell was because Sam inadvertanly missed out a XC fence otherwise he would of won there as well, which would probably mean more gripes .

Tickeridge - Foundation points table leader

Aa part of the syndicate that own Tickeridge I may be able to put some light on the reasoning behind his runs. The horse is only five and a very late foal at that,he won most of his events by virtue of his very good dressage marks and normally went clear show jumping. After winning the four year...
