Does anyone know of anywhere in Glasgow or within a reasonable driving distance that teaches children to ride properly? I've taken my wee girl to a couple of schools and they tell her to pull on the reins to turn and stop and kick to go. I don't want to keep taking her to different schools - she...
That's Campsie Glen Livery. It's a fairly small yard - not fancy, nice people, decent hacking. The school is small and the surface just doesn't drain properly and is really boggy and deep. It has genuine year round turnout, with only the odd day horses are kept in if the yard is too badly frozen...
Of course, but Lionheart is a more solidly reliable horse. Chilli Morning has more brilliance, but less reliability. Those decisions have often been made the other way round in selections to prioritise the team.
Will be crossing everything tomorrow!
I'm guessing that BE don't see it as a straight choice and are playing the odds a bit. The main thing is to come home with something, and the priorities probably depend on what targets were set for Championship performances within the sport.
Usually sports get a review at set intervals against...
Sport governing bodies need to be very pragmatic about these things. I used to work for one, and UK Sport are VERY focussed on results. If BE made a decision to increase their chances of coming back with some sort of medal they absolutely did the right thing, IMO. Sports which get results get...
There's nowhere very central that I can think of, though I've probably forgotten about somewhere obvious!

Galloway and MacLeod is the best one I've used in terms of stock, but...
I've an Xperia Z and love it, find it really easy to use. The screen is big, so the battery life isn't great but they are properly waterproof. (Which is great, having drowned an iPhone in a water bucket before...)
What about South Cathkin Farm? There's another yard near South Cathkin as well, I think. Have no experience of the yard, but the hacking would be lovely.
That's not the first time I've heard stuff like that about Easterton.
Saddlesore, I wouldn't give up just yet! Whereabouts are you now, and what area are you looking to move to - is it only really around Uddingston that would be any use?
Read that back, and ask yourself what you would advise if you read that post from someone else. You seem unhappy, and nervous of the horse - realistically that is not going to get better because you can't trust her. Sometimes it's just the wrong horse. It doesn't mean you can't find a lovely...
There's a livery yard up the road from Roundknowe, past the golf club. It's been years since I've been on it, but it used to be a DIY yard and a lot cheaper than Roundknowe. It didn't have winter turnout then, not sure if that's still the case, and hacking is via really busy roads.
Second all...
