Anyone seen this before? tendon lump *photos*

From my own experience with my horse it definitely sounds like scar tissue/adhesions. May break down over time with work. Can show signs of lameness then better again. Hydrotherapy is very good for them to help with this

    Winter faecal water syndrome

The horse I ride has this. I think it's linked to stress and a lack of routine previously with him. I researched a bit with a Feed Company and he is now on Healthy Tummy with Fibre nuggets and hay only. He has Protexin Gut Sponge in along with the Protexin Gut balancer. Seems to help him a...

My ice boots are the Cryochaps ones, really good and stay frozen for quite a while.

    Suspensory Injuries

Mine has also injured his suspensory ligament along with his SDFT. I use ice boots, ARC equine unit and magnetic boots and all have helped him. His injury was really bad, almost pts, he did it in March and we are now handwalking and field grazing in hand. He is doing really well and will soon...

    Water treadmill

My horse has been for 1 session and loved it. Took to it really well, they led him through it first then slowly set it moving before the water went in. Its for general fitness and wellbeing and he does have a bit of arthritis in his hocks. Going tomorrow for session number 2

    Exercising your horse with djd/arthritus

As previous answer Osphos is the newer version of Tildren, also worked out cheaper by the time I'd done with sedation, drip etc. Other side effect of Tildren was it made him wee a lot, probably due to the fluids infused with the drug.

    Exercising your horse with djd/arthritus

Yes it does say that about it but it was recommended for my boy as an alternative treatment for Tildren which has to be infused by drip for which he had to be sedated. Osphos is the newer version, injected into the muscle and much quicker to administer. We have it onc a year now for which I...

How to heal a minor open puncture wound

Wash with warm salt water and keep any scabs away from forming as it needs to heal from the inside out. Use Dermagel to keep it covered over and keep a close eye on it as puncture wounds are notorious for becoming infected. If it looks atall manky then call your Vet as your more than likely...
