I would second the suggestion of looking at Clumbers. They are fantastic, loyal fun dogs. Sophie, who we bred, has a great brain and would be a great worker (we just don't have the time to actually work her). We currently have a 9 week old puppy from our last litter and he is proving the...
I compete and ride knabstrupppers. I do affiliated BD with them and have had very good results, having qualified for the national championships, para championships (with my friend) and other affiliated championships like the Tack and Togs and Hickstead dressage masters.
I am only 5 foot 2 so I...
We were there yesterday too - the car park was something else wasn't it?! But Hickstead cope so well and the atmosphere is always really friendly.
We were lucky enough to be in the prize giving for the Novice and were chatting to other competitors who were all riding young or inexperienced...
Congratulations - she is a super looking foal and I am sure you will have great fun with her. My friend's knabstrupper stallion covered a fresian mare last year too. The foal was born a month ago and amazingly has really similar markings - a little lacey blanket and a filly too. A real...
If both parents have been DNA tested negative for grey then he can not carry grey as would have to inherit it from one of them.
Guess it must be a quirk of the colour - I am not familiar with Appaloosas only Knabstruppers. He is looking good, regardless of colour
That is quite a difference in colour. You can get a hair sample analysed to tell you definitively whether there is grey at play or not. My friend had her Spanish horse tested recently and results were back very quickly and stopped her tearing her hair out guessing as to whether he is going grey!!!
We breed Knabstruppers and think they are great. I bought my first one by accident and he was always meant to be sold on - but he has been such a fantastic horse he has never gone. Sheik who I bought with no expectations has competed up to advanced level dressage and has qualified and been...
We have a 20 week old clumber spaniel. We bred her and she is an utter delight.

I second the suggestion of clumber spaniels. They are fantastic. Loyal and keen to work all day but also equally happy if you have to have a day indoors.
We have 2 clumber spaniels bred on working lines and they are agile and energetic. The working bred clumbers tend to be hip scored and...
Most training yards in our area, south east, charge at least £150 a week for the services you listed and certainly we wouldn't offer it cheaper to anyone other than close friends or family.
We did a musical ride at pony club for the under 12s. There were 6 of them and they put together a little routine where they weaved in and out of each other etc and they loved it. On the last day they performed for their parents - it did require me to be able to project my voice loud enough...
As Cruiseline said it is a myth that can never be proven or disproven as you can't geld a youngster and see what height it makes then rewind time and not geld to make the comparison. I am hoping that it is just an old wives tale and that gelding won't increase growth as the lady who own a 2010...
Our two full siblings we have had are really quite similar in appearance, although Julliette seems to stamp all her offspring regardless of the stallion we choose.
Hattie 2009 filly
Caine 2010 colt
However this mare really stamps all her stock and her 2011 foal by a...
