    Can anyone tell me -

What the gold, circular emblem is that the British Dressage Team wore during the Olympics? What does it signify? Is it a rider/trainer award of some sort?

Trailers which are rear load/unload only......

In North America, many (if not most) trailers are rear load/unload, especially smaller, 2 horse trailers. Most horses can be easily trained to back out of a trailer slowly and carefully.

Laser Eye Surgery - Riding & chores afterwards

Had it done twice. Took a few days off. Spent the day of surgery (done in a.m.) mostly sleeping (planned it that way - worked night shift the night before). Gives the corneal epithelium a good start on healing and keeps any discomfort to a minimum. Stayed away from the barn for about 3 days - to...

Calling Canadians how do you stop your water from freezing?

Inside water lines are run on interior walls, rather than exterior walls. Many of our outdoor paddocks also have automatic waterers along with various heating arrangements...

Calling Canadians how do you stop your water from freezing?

We also have heated buckets of various sizes, I use 16 gallon size in my individual paddocks - generally they need to be filled...

    Tough Rugs!

Mine destroyed the Rambo in less than an hour. Best I've found are made locally here - nice heavy Cordura shell. Surely someone in the UK makes something similar? If not, P.M. me - I can provide two sources here and I'm sure they'd ship them.

Safe to put on more than 2 rugs in winter?

OMG! -6 and multiple rugs??? Chiming in from Canada (also known as the Great White North). We routinely get temperatures of -30 to -40 C (and occasionally colder). Many horses here are out without any rugs at all. Most horses in work (and therefore clipped to some degree) will have 1 and...
