Thanks guys!
Just to clarify, he was in 24/7 for about 2 weeks, was then put out during the day into a corall (but was popping or pushing out!), and then he's been out with a herd of others since Christmas. I don't feed him and didn't when he was in work either, only if he'd had a hard day...
We bought a 5yr gelding exactly 1 year ago from a friend who had bought him from an auction (his breeder sold him at the auction because he was too much for her) and he was just too much for her also. He's a cob x TB and has the physical attributes of a cob but the energy and flightiness of a TB...
This could be lengthy! I was told at the time that his scar was from an injury sustained in the field, however, I later found out that he had received radiation therapy to remove sarcoids. The seller maintains that they didn't think they would come back so didn't think they needed to tell me...
Hi everyone, thanks for all your responses!
He's actually a very sweet horse, loves nothing more than a good ole smooch! He's just a bit emotional :)
Rearing only happens when he's hacking alone OR having a paddy out hacking in company. He's not been known to rear anywhere else, and it's...
Hi guys,
I'm looking for some advice from the general population, the more responses I get the better - so please do reply with your opinion if you read this! Be honest with your valuation and please provide a reason why you've given the price. I won't take offence to any value or comment...

Hey guy! I've had him since May and been trying to resolve the issue since August. I didn't have him vetted but I was told in writing that the scar by his eye was from an old injury, and in his advert it stated that he'd never been "sick or sorry".
It's a weird one because the person I...
Hi guys,
Where do I start? I bought a horse which I had hoped I could enjoy and get out and about on. He was supposed to be good in traffic but I quickly found out he wasnt and it later turned out that he was also misrepresented in other ways (history of sarcoids which they lied about), and...
Afternoon all!
I'm just wondering what you guys do now that the nights are drawing in. How often do you ride a week? What time do you get home and actually relax?
I find myself exhausted by the weekend and find it quite difficult juggling full time, intense job, a husband, friends and a...
Yeah he really is worth nothing. If I'd known the truth from the start I would have steered clear, but now I'm emotionally committed which makes it hard. She says that it was done 7 years ago but "can't be sure, I'll have to dig out the paperwork". Luckily he's a decent little horse so he can...
I can also vouch for manuka honey. We had a horse that mangled her nose and it did a great job. Because it contains a natural peroxide it actively kills bacteria off and promotes healing.
I always use it for wounds that might be manky! Good luck
Thanks all, I keep going from upset to down right livid at the moment! So far I've been very neutral with the old owner and she's promised that she'll scan and send over the information on his diagnosis and treatment, so I'm impatiently waiting for it to land in my inbox. If it ever arrives.
I...
Hi guys,
I bought a gelding in May and he has a scar around his eye. I was told in writing that he had an accident in a field while his owner was away for a weekend, and on her return it was infected and left him with this scar. I didn't have him vetted as he was only £2500.
Recently the scar...
