I was in the same place as you, last May. I had to have my beautiful girl pts. I understand why you are apologising, but truly, you have nothing to apologise for. I still cry now, and miss her dreadfully. Just believe in your heart that you did the right thing.
Hugs.
Personally, I am very grateful to the people who voluntarily give up their time to run shows for the competitors.... But nobody is forcing this woman to do it, and if she doesn't want to do it, then why put herself through it? She won't be the first to say no, and she won't be the last.
But...
I think Titan is a grand name, as it is. He is very handsome.
Btw, did I read your post correctly? Are you riding a 2 year old in preparation for ridden show classes next year?
It started here, at 6.30am. Normally I love watcing and listening to thunderstaorms, but I was having a riding lesson at 7am.
Cancelled, due to extreme weather. Heavy rain, thunder and lightning on top of a Yorkshire hill....... hmmm, I dont think so.

I came off DIY when I went to Graham's, and found that I was saving £6 a month after adding everything up.
I know in the overall scheme of things, that is not a lot, but when you consider your time, and the facilities, it works for me. Plus, the idea of not having to muck out at 6am in sub...
I had to Google 'lisfranc', pretty pictures. :D
Apparently, treatment is non weight bearing, and immobilisation in a cast for 6 weeks. OR inserting of screws and wires to achieve the correction. I cant see how this matches with the activities you are describing. :D
You have made the hardest decision you can possibly have to make when owning a horse. That means you are brave and compassionate. You will know that Peggy Sue wont be abused, in pain or hungry/thirsty..... There are far worse fates for a horse with problems.
Totally agree with using a Pelham. I was in the same situation with my cob mare. I realised that it was jointed mouthpieces as well, which didn't suit her. So we used a ported Pelham for hacking and showing, and a hanging Mullen mouth snaffle for dressage. Most similar I could find to the...
