I have taken my novice horse cubbing 3 times this year and she behaved quite well - a bit fizzy but controllable - just! I was wondering whether to take her full hunting but neither of us is ready to jump yet! Is it very different from autumn hunting? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You've made a good point about the hanging around more with autumn hunting - i suppose i was thinking that smaller fields and quieter riding would be a better introduction; now i'm not so sure!
I am in a dilema whether to try Autumn hunting with my TB mare aged 7. I have owned her for 2 years and when i got her she hadn't done anything not even seen traffic! Now, after much patience she is reasonable well behaved but very spooky with a tendancy to turn and try to run away from anything...
