I use non branded wood fibre bedding. Pretty much dust free and fairly cheap. I take out the wee nearly everyday. Saved me a fortune on my scruffy box walking little devil 😀
Dunlop Blizzards. One of the few things horsey I’ve bought which have actually been a good buy. Lasted all winter, fur lined so no frozen feet and I’ve actually carried on wearing them this summer (what summer?) and still going strong. Only about £35.
We have some amazing hacking but to access it I have to go on the roads for about 15 mins so for this reason I’ve just said it’s ok. The way I go the most is a country lane however it’s quite busy as people use it as a cut through.
I use power phaser. I think it marginally helps but not against horse flies. I bought one of the 2.5 litre tubs this year and is by far more economical as I have 2 horses. I’ve bought zebra fly rugs this year and they’ve helped, especially my bay horse.

I’ve noticed that if ever my two have had antibiotics, their poo smells real bad. I assume it kills the good bacteria. You could try so probiotics and see if that makes a difference.
