In my case, at least, it is not that I am unwilling to do the training, but that it appears to only be offered during the workday. I have a full time job and unfortunately can't take the time off to do a few hours every week for a month, but I could do five hours straight in a row one day or...
Ha. That's what I've always heard it called at events in the USA... Does it not get called that over here?
ps What fun it is watching all of this live and having Team GB do so well!
I'm curious about this as well as I have a 4yr old little mare that I'd like to take eventing! She's got some show jumping experience and we recently had a lesson off Susie Gibson--I would highly recommend her for SJ--we had it at Lumb Brook Livery in Wilmslow. I am curious about some XC...
Ha. I loved commentating when we had extra notes. I did have a few friends with excellent senses of humour, so I felt free to make up whatever I liked if they didn't fill it in. One girl had a steadily more complicated story about being a pro-wrestler and chicken herder that got added to at...
You guys looked great! And what a nice manner that guy had--where was the clinic? How did you hear about it?
ETA: I used to ride a mare who was...thoughtful...about what she jumped. It took about a year of "refusing the first time she saw anything", and then another 18 months of hit and miss...
They look like them! (They're sort of hard to find now(new), as the Porter guy stopped making them and the new BofB guy hasn't started yet, what are you planning on doing with them? ;) )
Oooh, I take it back as they are clearly for sale here--it was in the US that we were having a hard time a...
Please remember that a learning disability is just describing that there is a difference between how well you *could* do and how well you *do*--it's just an indication that there is something maybe making it more difficult for you to do as well as you could! It does NOT mean that you are lacking...
Have you looked at/are you interested in just off the track horses? I picked up my mare for a very reasonable price as I went directly through a trainer. She's been a little gem so far! (I'm in Manchester...)
I would love that. My mare is very green and I've been out of XC for awhile, but I'd be up for a camp that let numpties like us attend! I'd even help organize it, if it would help.
Wow! She's soooo like my little mare! (very very similar face/body and colour and markings!)(Ekraar/Lady White). No advice, my girl is on calm and condition and seems to be doing well on it.
Fatpiggy, do you know the name of the school in Marple? I'm not as bothered about competition, necessarily, but I would like somewhere where I felt challenged...
thanks!
