I did mine last year my mare chucked me off, broken and plated, broke it ealy march and was back riding and driving by May, last summer was a bit of a struggle, getting myself back together in the saddle and to grips with confidence, but it so gets better!! trust me.. all ok now!.x
My mare is fed handful of hi-fi Lite and handful of badminton dressage mix, plus soya oil & garlic. Shes out for 1/2 day everyday to keep her weight downa nd has ad lib hay

I can sympathise with you all! had a ansty break to my left ankle in march, resulted in plates & pins!! 3 weks after my cast was off i was back on board! just wandering about really! and several weeks later cantering with not much balance tho! and the rising trot does come with perseverance...
I had my mare scanned in september, the time of year is only to be taken into consideration if they blood test as levels may vary but with a scan it gives you a better idea and can be done at any time. All was ok with mine, (just attittude) but to scan her my vet advised that it would be safer...
