    Terminology?

Yes, terrierliz! I was also taught to ‘quarter’, as in fold back the front left quarter of the rug, brush, fold back down, fold forward the back left quarter of the rug, brush, fold back down, and so on round the horse. Much harder when rugs were less technical and thicker!

What brand clothing survived todays rain?

Harry Hall all- weather long coat ( knee length). So good I have one for the yard, and one for ‘out’.

    Three quick questions!

Noble - thanks for that - rushed straight to the site but none of the ones I want in the weight I want in a big enough size, sadly. Looking for 7’0 or even 7’3. But thanks again!

    Three quick questions!

Thanks loads for the early answers. Had a quick look at the Ventomasta but I think I wasn’t clear enough in my question - rather than the leg darts, I was meaning the darts in the neckline like Bucas.

    Three quick questions!

Hi all - three quick questions as we are all manic with glitter, trees and muck heaps………… 1) Shires Typhoon 100 turnout - useful? 2) any rug recs for ones that are cut with a dart at the front like Bucas but maybe not quite as spendy ( have two Bucas - this would be a spare) 3) which is the...

    Wart or sarcoid?

Sarcoids on a sheath are treatable - one of mine had them lasered.

    Colic or something else?

Just a thought which I hope will not be the case but something to ask the vet about - an old mare I once owned had a mild stroke ( confirmed by vet David Langrish) and was very much like this - odd behaviour of this type during the actual event, and then exhausted afterwards.

    Sarcoids - success stories please

Lots of advice here already, so although I do have experience of sarcoids on a big draft, I won’t repeat stuff except to say firstly there are so many variants of these which behave in so many different ways that it is difficult really to say for certain that a home treatment has ‘worked’ ( it...

    ‘Medium’ clippers

@Nancykitt thanks! Will have a look at those.

    ‘Medium’ clippers

Hi all - as title really. I have Masterclip Roamer cordless clippers which are great for full clips on my big draft, and I have access to a pair of small trimmers. Can anybody recommend ‘medium’ weight clippers that I can use (in between big clips) on the feather to thin it? I was looking at...

Council spends £32k on improvements H&H story

@teapot - when you refer back to Meonstoke, do you mean the railway that runs through Wickham? I had loads of very happy rides along there and in the Forestry when I lived down there. What did they do to it?

    The Ozzy Diaries

@Rumtytum thanks for the suggestion. Tried that but file still too large seemingly. @Exasperated - not sure what you mean? My boy is strawberry roan as I said ( and as you might expect from the Belgian input) but has ‘faded’ as he has grown up, so no real descriptor for him now but not...

    The Ozzy Diaries

Ozzy sounds as if he is the exact same colouring as my Belgian Draft cross ( not in my icon pic) who is strawberry roan with a flaxen mane and tail with some red hairs, and who also has small very chestnut patches and white socks. He has got lighter as he has grown ( now 11). Would attach a pic...
