I was all set to say sell - until she offered you less, tell her to do one.
I was offered good money for a homebred 5 year old of mine, I turned it down, he needed a colic op at 6 and kissing spine op at 8, hindsight is a wonderful thing
I'm a mean mammy!
In my book, every day is not a treat, its an expectation!
Mine get a couple of carrots in their feeds but very rarely anything from my hand unless as a reward - the one who's not great to catch gets a carrot if he doesn't give me the run around but otherwise I can't remember...
I'd recommend Carla Bolam, primarily a Sj'er but don't let that put you off, she also competes Ad Med dressage and has evented too. She's petite and horses love her. Durham area and well worth a journey
If the Daily Mail can't get that she's and eventer not a 'Top Showjumper' right, what other facts in this story are incorrect? Crazy!

Thanks for all the replies, very helpful indeed.
To be honest I own the horse in question but he was always going to be for sale (at some point) before he needed the op so at some point he will be for sale in the future and I was interested in a purchasers view.
The vet who operated has said...
Would you be put off buying a horse which had had a Colic op (no gut removed though) if it was back competing at the same level as pre-op? (Double Clears Fox and 1.30)
Hey
I've been thinking of getting a rug liner system for my boy. But am confused as to which of the Horseware rugs are suitable for liners? Stable and Turnout wise?
Do you have one and if so which? Is it only Rambo's that are fitted with clips?
Please help me shed some light on this
Hi
My horse tends to suffer from wind and a dribbly bottom, I was thinking of introducing something to help this, would you recommend a pre or probiotic and is there one in particular that has possibly helped your horse in the past?
Thank you
I love Throstle Nest! Have visited once when I was in the area and it really is an alandins cave!
I think some mail order companies have a lot they could learn from Throstle nest, just wish it was closer so I could visit more
Hi everyone
I'll try to keep this as short as possible but would love some advice to help me put some weight on my boy. He's currently not in work (since mid oct til probs mid Jan) so I thought now would be a good time to try to improve his condition. His ribs are (only just) covered but he has...
Can anyone please recommend me a long (56 inch) girth preferably leather that's wide or comfy. I'm currently using a Jeffries leather girth but its now quite worn and seems to have become narrower? No more than 2 inches at the narrowest or 2 1/2 at the widest points.
