She's a fair weather girl, hates rain and the cold! Our fields are water logged as well so keeping an eye out for mud fever. Thankfully it's warm with this rain like said but she's still rugged, sad for this time of the year.
Anyone having a problem with their horse out in this rain?! My pony's loving it but my arab is miserable, stroppy and shaking. I've had to have them out solid for 10 days due to building work at our yard, hopefully the work will be finished soon!!!
We have the radio on all day and sometimes over night if fireworks are going off. We find it settles the horses, my girl is in all the time and during the day she's normally on her own, if the radio gets switched off she starts box walking and calling!
I like the idea of having the radio...
We can never win with the winter weather, its either too wet, dark or icy and now we have more snow coming! I'm lucky with my girl she loves going on adventures round the farm in the snow as long as we can get out the stable!
We've recently moved to Odiham as my husband is in the RAF and struggling to find a home for my mare. We don't know the area very well yet so can anyone recommend any yards around. I'm looking for DIY Livery and not too fussy on the facilities, we're happy hackers.
Any help much appreciated. xx
