Thank you all so much for your replies! It has really helped reading your advice and knowing I'm not the only one out there!
They are grown ups - proper grown ups, the youngest must be 24 years old!
The only thing I can think of is that, from the outside, it seems I have everything. I am able...
Thank you so so much for all your replies. For the lasts 3 or so years I have tried everything!! Ingoring them, going up at different times, being really nice! I'm going through the 'be really nice' stage at the moment. I say a very cheery hello to everybody they blank me!! And I can hear them...
Hello,
Just after some advice really. I've had problems at my yard ever since I moved there about 3 years ago. It's the sort of yard that if you're not in with the gang and do what they say, then you are a target for bullying. Unforunately I like to do things my own way (put whatever bit I...
Im looking for a position as a working pupil in the South of England.
Im a hard working individual who has a passion for show jumping. Over 20 years experience with horses and can turnout to a high standard (plaiting not brilliant but practice makes perfect!)
I have my own horse who, ideally...
My boy is currently in a 3 ring gag (happy mouth straight bar) but I jumped him yesterday at BSJA and I struggled. He really grabs the bit and runs, where I'm a small girl with no muscles it was a challenge!
I'm thinking about trying him in a Neue Schule 'Tranz Angled Lozenge Evelvator'
but...
I have a Le Mieux sheepskin half pad that I use for show jumping. It's really good! Machine washable as well, mines in perfect condition even though it's been washed a few times.
I'm not sure how to add photos to a thread but I've tried. If they don't work I'll try something else!
My gelding has a few big cracks from the bottom of his shoe up to where the nail is.
Should I be worried or do something about it?
He also has red marks (looks like bruising) near his...
Wow, the confusing world of affiliated show jumping haha!
Thank you very much for your replies, hopefully I'll be able to qualify for some of these shows in the future!
I'm going to join BSJA with my gelding soon, I'm just wondering how the heck you qualify for any classes at shows such as Royal International Horse Show (Hickstead), Royal Windsor, Scope etc.
I'd like to hear your stories and how you went about qualifying, and how the actual show went!

I have a pair of Ice-Vibe boots, they are fab. I use them after show jumping, cross country as well as after hard exercise at home.
My boy has a previous tendon injury so they put my mind at rest.
The good thing is, they warm the horses legs up before exercise too!:D
Veredus by Marcus Ehning (Carbon Gel) - They're not brushing boots and are expensive but are the best boots I have ever used on my incredibly sensitive gelding who had a previous tendon injury.
I've used woof wear, t-zone and many others and none of them compare to the Veredus pair I have!
