How frustrating! I ordered and received 5, although I did tick the box that said 'as recommended by a vet/professional', so I wonder if that makes a difference?!
I've had similar comments, you are not alone!
I use nitrile or vinyl gloves now. They keep my hands clean, warmer and you can still do most fiddly jobs without removing them. I buy a box of 100 (but remember that's 50 pairs!)
We've been on heavy clay for 30+ years and the only way to cope is to provide hardstanding areas and get them off the fields as soon as it starts to turn wet (Oct/Nov) and keep them off until Mar/Apr (assuming it's dry enough) Your grazing should then be able to cope with 3 horses from late...
My mother had her thyroid removed 30 years ago and has been fine on Levothyroxine ever since. I have Hashimotos and take Levothyroxine. After being close to comatose before diagnosis, the difference it has made to my life is amazing!! Good luck, you'll be fine I'm sure!
Mine is on the near side. As horses should travel behind the driver, having the ramp this side makes the open box more inviting in my experience. Some horses are not happy being asked to load/turn in such a tight space when it's on the driver's side and the partition is in place.
Having built traditional stables at our previous property, and then having barn stables where we are now, I would say barn every time. We built concrete block stables within the barn, so all our horses have doors and turn out pens to the outside and they can all see each other inside, and...
I've had road planings down for over 20 years, with no hoof issues and no topping up. In fact my farrier says my herd have great feet from being on the road planings (they have compacted down so there's no real loose stones)
I bought some mud control mats for a different area but they were no...
As a breeder, I hate messages that literally just say 'how much' . And so many people don't bother to reply with 'thanks, but that's over my budget' when I tell them the price. My prices are on my website but as we can't sell animals on Facebook, people have to message to ask.
If only everyone...
I must be the odd one out as I specifically wanted a 3.5 tonne with a full ramp! I have a coachbuilt box from a reputable builder (not Equitrek!) with a full ramp and loading gates. Having seen horses rear up and hit their heads on the ones with canopies, that was a no go. The barn door types...
