    What do you feed?

I would imagine if someone was looking for specific feeding advice they would start their own thread or look at the numerous other existing threads which are actually looking for advice. This thread was simply a curiosity post which I stated. By replying to my comment it in that manner it was...

    What do you feed?

This comment has no relevance to the thread, I am just curious about what others feed their horses... I am not asking for any advice

    What do you feed?

I’m not asking for advice on what to feed him... as stated initially I am just curious as to what others feed their horses... There isn’t any harm in giving him a handful of chaff when he is brought in to work, his condition is fine and as I stated above he is my loan horse so I don’t actually...

    What do you feed?

The chaff is just a token feed as a little reward for the work he does

    Jumping exercises after a break

Just wondering if anyone has any good exercises for getting a horse back into jumping? We haven’t jumped for about a year, possibly longer, as my jump putterupperer (Mam) injured her shoulder and I prefer not having to stop and start to adjust heights/put back up if he knocks them. Conscious...

Feeding advice for Veteran with poor teeth

Thanks everyone! Here is a picture of him from today We have agreed to start him on the cushings medication and see how he goes. We’re not changing his feed initially as want to see how he goes with tablets and at the moment he enjoys it and it isn’t flaring his laminitis. Double checked his...

Feeding advice for Veteran with poor teeth

I’m a little cautious of the grass pellets/chaff if they were to have a high sugar content. He used to suffer terrible with his laminitis at our old yard as the grass was quite rich! Do you know of any alternatives? Or would you just feed a smaller quantity?

Feeding advice for Veteran with poor teeth

Hi all, Looking for some advice for a friend in relation to her retired Veteran Welsh Cob. Exact age not known but I would guess at 25+ and he has not been riden for around 3-4 years now. He hasn't been a good doer for a few years, however this winter she has struggled to keep any condition...

How much would you expect to pay for a green horse?

Thanks to everyone for your replies. I have a feeling that some of you may have misinterpreted my query. My query was simply in relation to buying the horse. I am under no illusion that horses have a high monthly cost, which I have researched thoroughly and have prepared for, as well as...
