Green fence tape is a must for horses in the field when it snows as they cannot see the normal white tape against the snow - saves alot of fence repairs !

Thanks to all of you who took the time to reply. My vet has ruled out sacro iliac problems and is has been decided that he has neurological problems affecting his back end so will not need the steroids
Thanks for your replies . Am seeing vet today so will discuss again , surely there must be a NSAID that could be used even if not as effective as a steroid inj ? . Not sure i can cope with the added stress and worry of an attack of laminitis along with his current problems ! . Thought would ask...

Ask your vet about using a product called renalzin which can help by binding the phosphorus found in the diet , which could be usefull if he is eating elsewhere so not always having kidney food . It is a supplement which you add to his food. Good luck
Hi sorry am a bit confused re dilution of milk . I have 2 kits , 1 which is strips for urine samples that test pH , would you test the milk as is or dilute ? . The other one does calcium but is a liquid test kit for fish tanks , do i need to dilute this one ? . Thanks for your help

I'm not a vet , but just wondered if your horse is on box rest at the moment as my boys swelled up like that while stabled for laminitis , just a thought don't know if very helpfull . Good luck with him , i know how heartbreaking it can be
