She is very spoilt and says she quite likes being a working pony! She has already got her hooves well under the table and is learning all my other mare's naughty tricks!
Her brand new jumping saddle arrived the other day (told she was spoilt!) and she is now convinced she is a fully fledged...
I hope so, thought it might be nice for him to know what had happened to the foal!
I did loads of googling before I even went to see her, think I pretty much knew her life story! Although I couldn't find much on the stallion, just a couple of pictures, so it nice to hear he was a nice lad.
Hi,
I've done some googling and found that Aredis is a poster on here.
I just wanted to do a little update on a horse they foaled! I bought 'Little Miss Aredis' 7 weeks ago as a project and potential back up horse to my currently injured Eventer and I think she is pretty dam wonderful...
I have literally tried every bedding! My Mare is horrendously wet and chopped rape straw is the best by far! It's actually much more absorbent than most other beddings, because the chopping exposes the core which is very spongey.
Hemp was the next best thing, but far more expensive. I used to...
I have the stud girth version and I like it. Mine has elastic both ends though.
I haven't noticed any difference in her way of going, but I only use it to jump and I doubt her front end technique could get any better! I haven't used the fairfax version so can't compare there.
In my opinion it is...
Mine will probably have a few quiet weeks after our last event, just the odd hack, but she never has a total holiday as she becomes a total moron in the field!
We will probably do the odd days hunting too, so she needs to be kept pretty fit. She enjoys working though, so hacking and hunting are...
Low hands straight arms, particularly in prelim dressage, often come down to ride too long (because dressage equals long stirrups) causing riders to ride on their toes, pitch forward and balance on their hands.
As an instructor I find myself telling people to lower their hands as much as I tell...
I aim for fortnightly lessons, however time and money probably sees it closer to every 3/4 weeks. At first our lessons would be fairly repetative and fixing the same problems every time or ones that I had created in being over zealous with working on something. Now I am better educated, I can...
I guess heat for the same reasons as Gamebird, pictures! ;)
But Mals has some brill tests in sleet, hail, rain and sun, also some of her worst, the weather seems to make little difference to her!!
Well now she can't get other horses to do it, she really is self harming, been in her stable all day and somehow she's managed to take a chunk out her knee  she actually needs a padded cell and a bubble wrap suit!!
She is an annoying little tramp though ;) she is very grown up now, I...
After our flying confidence boosting run around at Shelford and a nice yellow ribbon, I was feeling much happier with Donkey and I.
However, Sod's law being what it was, Mally got kicked.. Again... In the same place on her leg, but a front leg this time.
This was two days before we were due to...
