OT is someone i would not less loose on my bike let alone horse! I had to turn Badminton off, it was awful to see so many tired horses and some really awful riding. I went the year when the rain was so bad the car park was a mud bath and the course was just wet mud and it rode nothing like what...
A friend of mine takes a slow cooker, bungs food in that in the morming and when she is finished in the evening its all ready. Saves time and she says is so filling and yummy.
Good luck :)
The issue is if they were cattle or sheep they would not be treated in this way. Yes they may destined for meat but they are entitled to a certain level of care and consideration, neither which have been applied. I have lived in this area or my life and reported these horses along with other...
As above we went for the first time last month for the Junior BS. Really enjoyed it and when it is finished i should imagine it will be lovely. A really straight run from Leicestershire, took us 1 1/4 hrs in bad weather. Would definitely go back and the prize money was fab!!
Having just had to venture into this with SD i have to say we did buy her all the gear, but i started off with a second hand Animo, cheaper white breeches and second hand boots. They also hold great value and are in high demand. When she outgrew her Animo i got the same price for it as i had...
Competitors complained about it being single phase, then said 2 phase wasn't value for money? I am afraid even if it had been a first show i would have had something to say about that. The show we attended on Saturday ran trailblazers, single phase and had riders as young as 8 managing to find...
Having been at a very busy east midlands venue on Saturday (am for ponies) have to say what a flippin' long day we had! Got there at 9.30am (being organised and not wanting to rush), to be told that clear round still on,not a problem thought we could get both ponies ready and not have to panic...
I can't believe nothing has been done either. Terrible, so many people have lost so much money. I think the pictures are a front, this has to be more than one person I hope you get your money back, i know from reading that page that some have. Think it can depend on your bank.
This isn't the "Poppy Eastwood" Scam is it?If so go to Facebook there is a page set up with regards what to do called "Scammed By Poppy Eastwood". Plus they list other scammers who have jumped on the band wagon. Hope you get it sorted out.
How odd, i have never competed anywhere during the winter that is on an outdoor! Perhaps you can do as you like now, but i know when WL ran there shows later into November one year they got hardly any entries. I know if i was jumping mine indoors i didn't like to chop and change and do outdoors...
They aren't allowed to run through the winter, BS rules no indoor school, so hold BS from the end of March until October each year. Lots of unaffiliated, arena eventing and dressage through the winter months.
Sadly my experience with a horse from John Whinnett has been less than happy. Bought 16h 6yo ISH from his yard Dec 2012, 5-stage vetted, went lame February 2013. After time off, was put back in to work and suffered intermittent lameness until diagnosed to be navicular this summer. Obviously hard...
Exactly Tarrsteps, that was what i was trying to get across and you did so well :) . Someone has spent a long time making that pony perfect, so that i can put my child on and know without a doubt she will do exactly what is asked of her and 9/10 come home with a rosette and with a big smile on...
I don't think a 1m affiliated course is standard by any means, especially if you are on a 128/138. It isn't so much the height but the width and it takes a good pony to jump these classes. For a safe, reliable, no ifs no buts, no vices pony that wasn't ancient i would expect to pay well in...
