What do you and your horse wear to compete?

Love the brown tack! I''m a brown tack person too. I wear a navy kingsland jacket Brown konig boots White breeches White glows Blingy earrings and stockpin Horse wears what she does at home, just changing the saddle cloth. I'm hoping to replace my hat for navy one, without...

Heavy stirrups Vs lightweight for lower leg stability

I've changed from sprenger bow balance to jins on my dressage saddle and much prefer them. Not so sure the weight does much but the wide grippy thread area makes a huge difference to my lower leg control as I find it easier to relax the legs in them. Having said that my lower legs still have...

Monoflap jump saddle, what do you have?

I got mine from Helen Murphy, no idea if she sells them cheaper than others, but really rate her as a saddle fitter. I have had the tree widened a size in mine by her too.

Monoflap jump saddle, what do you have?

Same here, love my equipe. Feel very secure in it on my mare, who I can't describe as anything else but globe shaped :O However, on long hacks I have to use a gel pad as otherwise my seat bones will complain.

    Can't believe I Quit - so sad

hehe thank you! Daytona, they have the same eyes and I've just noticed yours rest her back legs like mine too. How funny. Mine can sometimes stand completly crossed legged when resting. Good luck with her, and I hope to see many pictures of her in the future!

Recommend me some boots for my girl

Yeah, boots are tricky with sensitive horses. I can't have anything that has a stitched edge on them. Only fluff or bandages work for us. If you put the fluffy boots on a little looser so they sit further down, they do protect the pastern a little bit from knocks too, as they are so thick.

Recommend me some boots for my girl

I like these, protects against knocks well as they are so thick, and the fluff means less sand and rubber get inside. Not great in soggy weather though...

    Can't believe I Quit - so sad

I mainly compete her in dressage, but we do a bit of everything to keep her from getting bored. She has a really nice jump and is very reliable when jumping, although we don't do any massive jumps to be honest. She's exremly opinionated so a good sense of humour is essential! Here's a...

    Can't believe I Quit - so sad

Sorry to hear about your hard times. But I just wanted to say I have an 8 year old mare by Tolando too! She's a massive clown and makes me smile every time I see her, so I hope your new one will do the same for you. Hugs (and it looks like they have the same face almost!)...

Need need boots - show me your poshest long riding boots

I prefer to think of it as £50 per year. Or 20p per ride, max! :greedy: And yes, the back of my knees got a bit of abuse to start with, but they got better suprisingly quick. They have an 8cm bow so they look high without being so close to the knee once they've set.

Need need boots - show me your poshest long riding boots

They were ordered from Sweden but it came close to a grand after all special options and postage was added. I try to think of it as cost per year so to not make myself to ill thinking about it. I hope they will last well over 20 years which would make them a bargain really :o
