Just had an almighty downpour and water from outside has come into barn and gone into my stable.
I am on livery and to cut a long story short morning will be done by management.
What’s easiest thing I can do to create a barrier into my stable? So far I’ve thought of laying some brick across...
well that ship has sailed but their responsibility is to look after them and not take the easy route for their own f*** up. IMO there is no excuse for breeding and then not ensuring the animals future. In this country we go on and on about indiscriminate breeding but yet the supposed ‘breeders’...
Is it a thing that yard owners don’t really look after their yard cats? My biggest issue is not getting them spayed. Poor cats having numerous litters every year.
Update: today was a major breakthrough. Completely different pony.
I have been working on ground with her, hacking out, working her in our pond and popped a fence on the lunge and she’s been really good.
Today, I got on by myself on the yard and managed to walk her into the school on my own...
I just can't win it seems. But whether it's clear to people or not I am trying my best and doing what I believe is right for my pony and I at that moment in time. I do not profess to being perfect and this is my first horse that I am starting from scratch.
Just FYI. I am riding on the circle...
Isla today after popping her on the lunge before going it alone.
Thanks to those with helpful advice. Going to keep working her like this and predominately on the ground for a little while now.
Completely agree hence why I asked for help as I knew it’s just not right.
I’ll go back a few steps and work on the ground for longer and intertwine some ridden sessions.
This is the thing on the lunge she’s fine she listens to my voice aid to trot and walk. I do transitions with her. She’s not great on double lines though does the same won’t walk unless someone is by her head.
I agree she’s always looking around and it’s for other horses or hearing what’s going...
