Hi, yes we did use Legrande :)
Unfortunately my mare's first foal was stillborn which was devastating. However after having my mare thoroughly checked over and some investigative tests done (the stillborn foal was extremely thin despite being delivered past 340 days) we decided to try again -...
Just wondered if anyone could offer any advice please. My 2 year old's insurance is due for renewal, we only have her insured for a small amount (£1k) and she is kept at grass. She is currently insured with SEIB and I'm more than happy to pay the premium but the excess is £500 which seems a lot...
Just to add (proud mum post alert!) that my Legrande filly went to her new home for the winter (we've found her some playmates for the winter about 10mins from home) and she was an absolute star! She hadn't been on the trailer since the end of May and walked up and loaded like a pro, lead off...
Hi, I have a Legrande yearling and am really pleased with her. She was unbelievably bold from day 1despite being tiny (8hh!) when she was born - the nursery paddock she was in had a footpath and bridleway alongside it and she would leave her mum and canter across to it whenever people were...
Well we didn't make it to Keysoe today, couldn't load foalie! It didn't make any difference whether her mum was on board or not, I guess that's one of the downsides to a very bold foal! We left plenty of time, we thought we might have problems loading Tia (mum) but never dreamt Jessica wouldn't...
Thankyou everyone, really appreciate your replies. I've emailed Steve Price and Quendon Hall so will wait and see what they say.
I'm going to have a chat with Sally F who runs Groomsbridge tomorrow as she is going to the futurity at keysoe where we will be taking our foal, but its great to hear...
Thankyou for the tips and luck! Will be a learning curve that's for sure. We just want Jessica to see a bit of the world and hopefully have a nice experience with her mum :) she very rarely trots, everywhere is at canter and is entered in the dressage section - oops! Will be good fun though :)...

We are looking for somewhere to take my mare and her filly foal (born 29th June) for weaning when the time comes so would appreciate any opinions on the places available in Essex (I have contacted several studs but if anyone has any experience of these...
Hi, just wondered who is going to Keysoe tomorrow. We are taking our little filly who will be exactly 8 weeks old, would be nice to look out for some friendly faces! :)

More importantly we...
Another photo - she was about 15hours old in this one. Still no name! They had their first time out in the paddock today (see new thread) and both Tia and foalie are doing great :)

Nail test said filly throughout pregnancy and a filly is what we got! 326 days born 2.15am on Friday. Mum and baby are doing great :)
Nail test said colt last year and was also correct for our little stillborn so it's been right both times for us.
