I think heating feed/supplements (and non-heating) are too expensive to be adding to other horses feeds just out of spite. Funny, most yards I've been at the problem has been people taking my feed, not adding to it!
Well it's more about having a leg to stand on if you decide to not pay your livery etc. Wish you luck anyway and I know how you feel, I'm very non-confrontational too and it does lead to people taking the pee!!
Yes a contract does not have to be in writing. However, verbal contracts, if they go to court etc. will be looked at in terms of conduct so try see the implied contract as there is nothing in writing. Unfortunately, in this case, your conduct has been to allow other animals into stables and...
Love love love them. I have a cob and only buy Masta where possible as they fit him well round the neck and shoulders, are generous with sizing and seem to be one of the most durable rugs around. Pretty good prices too.
I know how you feel with this. I got a Mark Todd Stable rug for my old horse and within a couple of nights the moving part of the clip that fastened it at the front had come out. Also had a Mark Todd puffa style jacket and all the stitching came undone in the sleeves. Will never by Mark Todd...
Oh well we do have trees and bushes all round.
I shouldn't even be worrying so much, I have a welshy not a TB or something else that loses 6lbs if it looks like it might rain! But if it starts to hammer it down while I'm at work I tend to go 'Nooooooo!!! The horses!!!" Then get strange looks.
Must be a thing with Welshies....
He has never gone hungry a day in his life (I've had him from being 6 months and knew the people who bred him) but you would think he was a rescue pony that used to be starved and never knew where his next meal was coming from the way he is with food!
And I know your pain Tiga71, if I leave any rugs hung in Alfie's stable, they are on the floor by the morning not only covered in wee but somehow trampled round and round until they are blended into his bed. Needless to say I don't do this anymore!
As I mentioned, he has his hay so it's not like he's being made to starve. I don't really think ten minutes for a brush and a hoofpick is asking the world.
Well mine are out 24 hours in summer unlesss the weather is really bad and in on a night in winter.
However, reading about all these people with field shelters makes me feel like a bad mum..... I'm so pathetic!
My husband and me had several fallouts over what I spend on the horses. In the end I switched from shavings to straw (saved £40 a month), changed my lessons from weekly to fortnightly (£30 a month) and switched from light chaff and lite mix to happy hoof which is probably better for him anyway...
