My vet recommended Vetiquinol Kerabol Biotin over the high street brands. Has worked wonders and there is good science behind it. Vetiquinol do lots of other products too and they are just that bit different but all seem to be really top notch.

If you decide to buy new give VOSS a go. I have bought quite a few from various suppliers over the years and these are the best by a country mile, and pretty inexpensive too. Loads of choice.

Hi AFB. Get strong iodine, mix with sugar to make sugardine. Poultice the hoof with sugardine paste pressed into all of the crevices, put on a newborn nappy and loads of duct tape. Works perfectly.

I echo Natural Flake (Jenkinsons is the manufacturer), or even better use their dry sawdust underneath or for full bed. It works better than you might think. Its fab and is only £4 ish per bale.
