Kells of Durham Trailers - any good?

Try asking on the riders of the north east face book page? I'm local but never used them (ended up buying mine from a dealer in Cumbria)

    Horse calmers

Valerian - its banned from comp for a reason cos it works, an alternative is Zylkene or if you want something else the equine products one is fairly good for travelling etc

    Trying to rehome

Agree! As someone that volunteers for a freyhound rehoming charity it is doable with cats if you have the right greyhound - a lot of the small no trust rescues will also cat test (we can't as we don't have any cats....). Durham, Norfolk and Kent cat test greyhounds also. Also the breed...

Which calmer for horse that’s on box rest but can be walked on roads? Any advice welcome. Thanks

Try Valerian or Zylkene, have used both with some effect on a post box rest TB. I say some effect as I too gave up hand walking (in a bridle/Chifney/2 people/2 lunge lines) and turned him out for which he was heavily sedated by the vet but fought it and was an absolute *insert word of choice*...

    Retraining ex-racers thread

From experience being involved voluntarily organising events etc locally for ROR, many are specific about area/instructor/location. I think also ROR RDO's etc are stretched across such a big area logistically pleasing everyone is difficult - plus tbh there isn't much engagement from them (I...

Looking for ideas for sighthound obsessed mother

Younger retired greyhound - once that didn't make it to the track as it didnt want to chase would be my suggestion, we have some waiting to come in for rehoming (I volunteer for a greyhound rehoming/rescue charity) The other end of the scale is an older 6-8 yr old that just isn't bothered about...

    Vet Monopolies

I moved my greyhound from a large corp run group to a local independant practice and they are brilliant, quotes itemised, never feel pushed, answer all qustions and have the dogs best interest at heart and are caring and compasionate especially when I lost my last grey a few months ago, I had to...
