Looking at keeping costs as low as possible this winter on bedding, currently using straw but not at all absorbent so wanting to try something new also straw is very bulky on the muck heap so wanting to reduce muck heap size if poss. What's very absorbent , fairly cheap and not bulky?

Looking to buy welsh young stock to show in hand and produce into childrens ponies then sell on as safe l/r f/r ponies. Not only to make some money but to also give the ponies a better start in life and a good loving future. Where is good to look to pick them up cheap in east Sussex, Kent etc...

If I can purchase it I will have 17acres to horse proof perimeter and section into large paddocks so would cost a fortune to post and rail it all. To keep costs down what alternatives are good for secure strong horse fencing? Any reccomendations?
