I use sole cleanse and artimud.
Spray daily with sole cleanse and pack once a week with artimud. Keeps on top of any thrush forming and that’s imo is what causes the soft/sensitive frogs
I really rate herbs.
My old mare has :
Boswellia
Aloe Vera Gel
A veteran mix of herbs
Clivers
And sometimes Marshmallow root
The younger one:
Boswellia
Aloe Vera gel
Slippery elm
Marigold
Clivers
In spring they get nettle
And give milk thistle periodically
My grey mare had an injury on her flank, that for the last 10 years grew back black with her summer coat.
Back to white with her winter coat, though this year it didn’t come in black, but she’s been diagnosed with cushings so whether that affected the coat growth.
Mine caved in his skull, the morning of our first dressage competition, but I have no clue how (I think my mare kicked him). All healed up fine and quickly; we had a risk of the bone dying, which would need to be retrieved, but thankfully it didn't. He seems to suffer more now with hay dust than...
my gelding has had a number of sarcoids lasered off over the years, almost 1/2 popped up a year every year .
But last year having just paid to have 2 lasered off.. and numerous other vet bills, he had another start to pop up, so on the off chance it would work I put him on this; (double dose)...
I was told to not mess with the scabs and leave them well alone after having multiple sarcoids lasered off, if really had to clean (which I never needed to) lightly hose with water.
As every time you touch them you will interfere with the scabbing process. Have had 5 lasered off, some in quite...
My mare and gelding have the 75l buckets in their stable, my mare can drink about 3/4 in a night, and has since she was maybe around 14/15, this year was diagnosed with PPID. My gelding will drink maybe up to half-3/4 some nights but not every night. Neither are particularly wet in stable
Another option which can work if enough loose skin is smart surgery. The skin is sutured together under the sarcoid and then the sarcoid is lasered off.
With it sutured before removal, lessens the risk of sarcoids popping up along the suture line
Had this method done for a sarcoid removal in...
Unfortunately he had a small pea sized nodular sarcoid on top of an occult, which from memory was maybe 10-50p sized, but to keep margins clear they had to take a larger area out, roughly 5cm across
All the ones I’ve had have healed really well. This was the hardest location to treat due to...
Mine presents as lame in his front right fore when he is bilaterally lame behind, from throwing his weight on the forehand to offload the hinds. But once we treated/get the hinds comfortable/sound again, the fore sorts itself. And having scanned/xrayed the front leg nothing is clinically wrong...
