    Barn Shop - Herts/Cambs

The 'old' barn shop was brilliant, then once taken over went from brilliant to rubbish and they never have stock or anything really. Such a shame really. I have no idea if it has closed but it was closed all weekend and then they were open at the feed entrance to sell feed for cash but nothing...

Saddle question for those who have horses who have had the KS op

omg, was just thinking about you and how you were! long time no speak and my fault I'm sorry! How is your lad going? is this the young one with the previous problems? I know others that have had the op and as long as the saddle is nicely padded and fitted and light then you should be fine. SC...

    Leather boots alterations??

Yes I have been many a time but I know it has been for sale for a long time and they are winding down on all stock, so wasn't sure if they had closed yet or not. I have £50 vouchers for there so I need to get in quick!! :)

    Saddle search.....

where are you based? have you thought of a saddle company one? they are fully adjustable and as long as you get a good fitter they are fab saddles. They also do a cob one. There is a good website called saddles4horses - google it, there are a lot of second hand saddles on there and they are also...

    The saddle company saddles..any good???

you get a guarantee with them anyway so if mine had gone downhill like that in that short of time I would have sent it back no problems. I would imagine that they would be happy to sort any complaints out. As I mentioned I have them in all shapes, sizes and leathers and not one has let me down...

most RELIABLE small 4x4 (x-trail or sorrento?)

Personally I would steer clear of the Nissan X Trail, mine was nothing but trouble and cost me a fortune. I had the new and improved one 2008 onwards but if that was improved then I'm pleased I didn't have an older one. Tyres depending on where you went and if they actually ever had stock of...

    The saddle company saddles..any good???

Brilliant, I have 6! However I do freely admit that they are only as good as your fitter which in my case is brilliant! Mine range from 2 x GPs which have part buffalo, nubuck seat and knee rolls and memory foam seats - they are lush! I have the more basic leather and synthetic saddle for my...

    Bute substitutes?

Do you have a willow tree? horses like to eat the leaves and bark as it is a natural aspirin to them or you can get white willow bark and make 'tea' with it, once it is fused in the water drain the bark out and pour the liquid on some chaff. Devils claw is very good also plus the Boswelia (sp).

Kissing spine, but no back pain? Experiences?

Probably not what you want to hear but I have just lost my beautiful horse to this and other things. He had active KS and fused KS which was already formed and settled. He also had arthritic changes in the sacro area too, plus other problems however, he never reacted to anything, was ridden up...

Sorry, another doom & gloom thread....

Sorry to hear of your mare's problems, I know what you are going through! With the problems that she has then no turn out or limited turn out in the winter would be a no no. I would see how she goes on the 2 bute a day and full turn out in the summer and then look for somewhere that has turn out...
