Again, another groundless series of assumptions and prejudices.
Why should I be happy that "toffs" - as opposed to non-toffs - can't chase mammals? Which post of mine makes you think this? Please provide a link which illustrates my anti-toff stance.
I very much doubt whether your silly little...
You're very brave. Why not talk about your own experience. Did you enjoy it when you went out? Why did you only go the once? I'm "anti" I'm suppose, but promise not to bite!
I'm hoping that she didn't really mean that hunting was more important than the health service, education and national security. Perhaps it was a silly hunter's joke.
At least Ereiam_jh will be happy. He's been campaigning his heart out trying to get the police to arrest hunters and suddenly his wish has come true. Congratulations, Giles!
And at the end of that breathless, self-righteous jabber, what are we left with? Someone bemoaning the fact that people resort to childish insults, whilst at the same time calling someone a "twat". Res ipsa loquitur, homuncule.
I think even a fanatical "pro" observer would find some inconsistency between your squeals of protest about apparent childish insults, and you yourself calling someone a "twat". Listen more, speak less.
How is chasing a deer for seven, eight hours the "most humane form of control"? It's cruel, as cruel as tormenting a bull in a ring, or baiting a bear. It's utterly repulsive and has no place in a civilised society.
Very good, we're making progress. Part of debate, E_J, is listening to the other side, rather than relentlessly forcing a single point (in your case, about flushing out deer) down the throats of all and sundry. Let "listen more, speak less" be your motto for the next week or so.
