We have a parsons terrier and it gets on fine with our cat - if he sees a cat whilst on a walk that's a different story he chases them. We even had a young cat (which sadly got knocked down by car and killed) which slept with our dog, they got on great.
Send a pic of your horse too - what classes are you doing? We only joined 15+ horse and pony this year - am getting bit nervous about it, its such a big competition but, we qualified so we gonna go, probably wont get anything but don't mind - go older horses
:D
Thanks for all your posts - we do now have an in-hand bridle and snaffle bit - the pic taken was after the class so didn't have him standing properly - do that in the class. We are going to plait, hope we get on ok - its a big competition for us newbys. Also have jod boots, brown trousers...
Thanks Carol - we had a ridden class straight after this class. The Equifest is just in hand so will be short boots and trousers, thanks for the advice:)
Thanks, his owner wants him un-plaited but will see if I can work on her. He changes colour during the year - the pic is from June when he is at his darkest - his brown bits are now very pale - on his passport he is skewbald but classed as a lemon - mum was a cremola
Thanks, not sure what ridden type he is - he is not fine but not quite full cob - he is 20 years old, sorry, as I say I am new to this - if I could show you a pic it may be easier. All advice gratefully received
Hi, I am new to forums and indeed to showing. My coloured horse (he is a 14.3 skewbald, lemon) and I qualified for the 15+ coloured horse in-hand class at Equifest. I would like advice please - should he be plaited for this class or should I leave his mane and tail "natural" - he is not full...
