I have a 53 plate, diesel auto Sorento, lovely to drive and tow with (Ifor Williams 511). Its done 100,000 miles and not had any major problems at all with it; passed MOT first time every year, had to replace battery and fuel injector but that's all. Would get another :)
Thanks for your replies. I have stayed away from linseed as I was worried it would just make her fat?
Speedibeet could be an option.
I was considering Saracen Releve or Allen and Page Ride and Relax as they claim to be low in cereal or cereal free and no molasses. Anyone use these?
My horse has been without shoes since January and is on a fibre only diet (soaked hay and Dengie Healthy Hooves) plus T.E.N Challenged Hooves supplement. She is out on a reasonably bare paddock at night and in during the day. The shoes came off due to caudal heel pain but she is now sound and...
I did an intensive course, 1 full day training then half day with test. Failed first time due to nerves - passed all trailer bits with no faults! 2nd time aced the driving (4 minors) but hit a cone on the reverse. Third time lucky last week, passed with no faults!
Nerves really got to me on the...
I agree the cavallos are so easy and fit well. We have Equine Fusions for the front, but am struggling to get a good fit (primarily because her front feet are a crap shape!), but the cavallos don't go big enough for her fronts.
I found that size limited my choices for her fronts, talk to Liz...
I have the Cavallo sports for my mare's hind feet. Only had them a few days, but fit really well - don't move or rub. The sports are narrower than the the simples so I think fit oval feet ok.
Just a quick question about this stallion - are there any quirks with his progeny? Or any particular traits or talents? Conformation faults or health issues?
I know it depends on the mare too, but my current horse seems to have inherited a lot of issues from her sire that is common to her...
The Hoof Bootique - as a newbie to hoof boots, I was clueless and Liz painstakingly talked me through everything! Boots arrived quickly and I got a bit of a discount too. Very pleased.
My horse was diagnosed with bilateral forelimb lameness in November 2013. X-rays showed no bony changes but probable soft tissue probs. We tried bar shoes and wedges/pads and it made everything worse and got to the point where she bucked me off big style! We took the shoes off in January - horse...
I have one just as you describe! In the school she is stubborn and lazy, hacking and jumping she is fabulous. As someone else said, you need to keep things enjoyable so she wants to do it. I found that my mare gets bored easily (which is why jumping and hacking suit her - lots to keep her mind...
I am with Amtrust too. Insurance gone down this year, but most of my horse is now excluded! Trailer and tack also insured with them, always paid out quickly without any quibbles.
