How much hay are you going through? When my horse was out 24/7 with a field mate they went through a full round bale a week. We just used to out the bale right in the field with a cattle ring feeder over it

Just to be different... I would go back to your old yard. Horses are an expensive hobby and you've got to maximise every opportunity to ride. Especially if you can't free up all weekend to do it. I've only just moved Max from grass livery to a massive yard that has 2 indoor and 1 outdoor arena...

He is generally quite hot however like yours, his stable block will be outside. It's sheltered but I imagine quite cold through the night. He has been stabled before but not for years and with his last owner. Thanks for the tip on forage. I'll go over what I expect and see how much is left
