My mare is lame on her off hind. I rode her this morning and she was absolutely fine but when I brought her in from the field tonight, she is about 5/10 lame. No swelling or obvious injury and she is normally tough and sound. Any ideas please...........

No photos I'm afraid but I walked the course last year and thought it would do as a first novice. A few years ago it was made very technical but it looked fine last year, a bit twisty but not big. Hope that helps a bit
They don't put as much pressure on the tongue as they are suspended in the mouth and also have a degree of poll pressure which can help a hollow horse to soften. As already said, I find some love them, some hate them!

The secret is to be really well organised, i.e. fill haynets at weekend, make up feeds, deep litter during the week. It's hard work in the winter but much easier this time of year!
It probably took over a year for my leg to look the same as the other one.....do all the exercises you are told to do and go swimming, it did really help, in fact I could swim before I could walk (once I could get in the pool of course!) Good luck
I broke my tibial plateau, pinned and plated. Took 12 weeks before i could walk then found swimming helped hugely to build strength again. I don't use a knee support, makes no difference to me.
