We've recently moved to Norfolk from Cambridgeshire and absolutely love it! We live the other side of Thetford on the outskirts of a tiny village, the hacking is great and we have a couple of stables at home which is perfect. If you decide to move around here we have a couple of spare stables...
Hi everyone!
I'm planning on doing my first working hunter class at the Wayland Show in a couple of weeks, but it's been a while since I've competed or done any showing! I was wondering if anyone had any tips for turnout and the 'dos' and 'don'ts' of a working hunter class?
As well as this...
Thank you everyone! Just to clarify, I wasn't expecting to be fence judging!
tiggs: thank you, I haven't been to Blenheim before, but it's fairly close so I will look into it :)
I'm really interested in volunteering at Burghley this year, I asked a few people about it and everyone has said that they like it if you have had some experience helping at some smaller events.
Can anyone suggest some good ones to go for? Or have even volunteered at Burghley themselves?
Thanks :)
Caramac71: Thank you! This is really useful, I think I'm going to go for either 'TENs challenged joints' or 'Equine America Glucosamine 10000 Plus MSM'
Thank you, I did look at TEN supplements for 'senior joints' but it advised not to feed to a horse with a history of gastric ulcers, which worried me a little because she's an ex-racer and very likely to have gastric ulcers! I don't know if this is the case for the one for 'challenged joints'?
I'm currently re-schooling an older ex-racehorse/ hunt horse to do some show jumping in the next few months. Due to her age, and her background, she sometimes gets a bit stiff and slightly lame.
Can anyone suggest a supplement that would be suitable? I know that she used to be on Newmarket...
