I couldn't agree more about the refreshing honesty shown. I know someone who has spoken to studs in Germany who have advised her not to use the stallion she wanted as the stallion and mare wouldn't be an ideal match for whatever reason.
Thank you.
Has anyone used either of these Woodlander stallions? I haven't seen either but they both look as if they'd produce something really nice. The mare I have in mind is Graded with WBS and could be described as more towards the heavier weight than light, so looking for a stallion to give a more...
I think that one of the ingredients in the Falcon product is rice bran, which is actually what the Saracen EJ is made of, and no I don't work for Saracen!
I have found that for a quick turnaround the EJ is the best, then move onto the Charnwood Milling linseed, same stuff as any of the...
A two year old Small Hunter will need to be a scaled down version of a Middleweight Show Hunter, and be measured at about 15.1 on show day. Sadly he will fail on both counts there. I think that for showing it is generally recognised that a pony that will measure say 14.2 at maturity must not...
I think that they should publish a list in advance so that mare owners can firstly see if there will be any stallions forward to suit their mare/s, and secondly it would be easy then to see which failed.
As it stands no one who wasn't present, or has a contact, has any idea of who the failed...
I'd be very reluctant to let a vet wanting to establish his surgical skills do an operation such as this. You do need a specialist, or someone who at least does this kind of work fairly routinely.
Are there any breeders or local studs that could point you in the right direction?
Experimenting with this, but only bought it yesterday. I like the idea of the antacid, and low feeding rates. Not sure the starch level would be very suitable for a lammie case though, mine isn't.
Ptomely isn't a stallion I've heard of before, but he certainly has the breeding to jump, and looks to have the bone that would add substance to a TB without compromising on quality.
