    Horseandponydirect.com

Has anyone had any experience of this company? I have seen quite a few adverts by them recently and wonder if anyone has used their feed balancers? Their website gives address details, e-mail, etc., but nothing about who they are and their history.

As one who has had to face the challenge of cancer, I wish you well and can only say stay positive and keep fighting :) x

So what did everyone get for Xmas then? :D

Oh thank you el_Snowflakes. I am staying positive. The worst is not being able to ride. It is going to be at least another 3 months and I am not sure if I will be able to then. I think I will have to find someone to teach me to drive instead!

Last year I got breast cancer, this summer I broke my ankle very badly and for this Christmas, I have a broken hip. I wonder if I am sending my Santa letter to the right address!

Filly a bit handy with her backend..?

We have just been discussing this this morning! We always have a youngster of all ages, i.e. foal, yearling, two year old, etc. Our rising 3 year old was very grumpy and quick with her back end and had to be taught that a lunge whip can retaliate quite effectively. As a foal she was lovely but...

Colour Question - Will she grey out?

We have a bay filly. Her sire is black. He is by a black stallion out of a chestnut mare. The filly's dam is grey and she is by a bay stallion out of a grey mare. At the moment the filly is a very rich bay with no signs of greying.

    Another western question

You can on ours. She differentiates between the saddles and knows how to behave with either of them.

Horse finally having out her wolf teeth :)

Agree with Janet. Our 9 year old has a huge wolf tooth which causes her no bother at all but, as a precaution, we have the wolf teeth removed from all our babies prior to backing them; if they are not there, they can't cause a problem. If there are no problems, a week should be the minimum...

Jim Paice sacked -- David Heath appointed in his place

Another point is that, although it is a legal requirement, horses are being sold without their passports being updated. We sold a mare 8 years ago. She has recently come up for sale and, at the current owners invitation, we went to see her. The person who bought our mare transferred her into her...

    Ex racers

If you are considering an ex-racer, first port of call should be The Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre or Moorcroft. They always have TB's available to re-home, they are properly assessed and re-schooled and great care is taken to match horse to rider. They also have excellent back up if you...
