I do both if bought just naff citronella & add 3 to 5 cloves leave 48 hours then use it. That's worked well this year & we've had loads of flies but no bites.

At 35 years of age I'd say he's done alright on Garlic. If you don't like it don't feed it like I say everyone has their own opinion your entitled to yours.
