Thanks everyone
Faracat, thanks so much that is really helpful and I love the green browband. I will try my old boys one on him tonight and take a pic and post it
Thanks again
I have entered my palomino in the part bred arab class in our local county show. I have looked at photos from last years and they have coloured browbands.
What colour would suit a palomino?
I have a red, gold and royal blue one from my old boy who was bay.
Thanks
No!
I bought a horse who had been there and done it all, my ideal horse but he had arthritis in his coffin joint and things were good as long as he was only walked on hard ground. But after a while the lameness became more and more frequent and his behaviour worsened :(
Eventually he exploded...
Although we have heathland close by they are putting livestock out there so we have lots of small gates everywhere. There is no open space nearby. I try to take him over the main road to the coastal path as much as possible to give him a bit of variety hacking wise.
As for schooling and...
Thanks for your reply.
My instructor says I need to make my legs more loose and we have done exercises and done work without stirrups. Maybe we should do more. I understand it is to do with me and not him and it is fine when she is there but the problem is the forwardness when she isn't there...
When looking for a horse 3 years ago, I wanted something a bit different that I could do some dressage with in the hope of maybe affiliating later on.
I found a very green 16.3hh Palomino Saddlebred x who had just turned 6. Admittedly, I could of done with something more experienced and maybe...
I am losing the will to live!

He has good feet and our farrier is a remedial farrier who does them every...
That poem made me cry
He was such a character and he had the best of lives. I mean who else can say their horse was in a movie
Rest in peace big lovely ginger one
Always here if you need me L
Take care xx
Chestnuts definately
I do love bays aswell, my old boy used to go a great colour when clipped
I suppose I quite like the yellow one too but he's a bu**er to keep clean so he stays dirty
I have had a few people ride Monty. I think it's good to get other peoples opinions of him. I normally like to be there when other people ride him because it's easy to get into a fight with him
I only let my instructor and Bellaboo ride him when I am not there
We are on a DIY yard, they have 12 acres which backs onto heathland so all our fields get soggy There are 8 horses between 14.1hh and 17hh and a 36in Shetland pony hence why some of our horses are in today. Some of the horses are in individual paddocks and in this weather they flood
We have to...
